About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior/Associate React Native Developer to join our growing mobile development team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for an individual with a foundational understanding of React Native who is eager to contribute immediately to cross-platform mobile application development. The candidate will work closely with senior developers and designers to build, test, and deploy high-quality, user-friendly mobile experiences for both iOS and Android.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mobile Feature Development: Develop, test, and maintain new features and user-facing components for our mobile applications using React Native.
  • Cross-Platform UI/UX: Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into pixel-perfect, high-performance user interfaces for both iOS and Android platforms.
  • API Integration: Work with back-end teams to integrate RESTful APIs and third-party libraries seamlessly into the mobile application.
  • Code Quality & Maintenance: Write clean, well-documented, and efficient JavaScript (ES6+) code. Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards and stability.
  • Debugging & Optimization: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and application issues to ensure a smooth, native-like user experience.
  • Collaboration: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban), providing timely updates and collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and QA engineers.
  • Versioning: Utilize Git and version control systems effectively for team collaboration and code management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on professional experience developing mobile applications using React Native.
  • Core Languages: Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and familiarity with TypeScript is a plus.
  • Framework Proficiency: Solid understanding of React Native fundamentals, component lifecycle, React Hooks, and Redux/Context API for state management.
  • Mobile Ecosystem: Basic understanding of the mobile development lifecycle and the deployment processes for the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  • Networking: Experience consuming and integrating with RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data flows.
  • Tools: Working knowledge of version control systems, especially Git.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and application performance.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Expo framework for mobile development.
  • Familiarity with native build tools like Xcode and Android Studio.
  • Basic knowledge of writing unit tests using frameworks like Jest or Enzyme.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for mobile application deployment.
