Job Title: Operations Head

Location: Bangalore

Department: Operations / Service & Maintenance (BRF)

Experience: 7+

Reports To: Chief Business Officer / Director

Job Purpose:

To lead and oversee all repair and refurbishment operations, ensuring efficient turnaround,

high-quality workmanship, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards. The

role demands strategic planning, team management, process optimization, and continuous

improvement to strengthen the repair and refurbishment unit.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

Lead and manage end-to-end operations of the repair and refurbishment department.

Develop and implement SOPs, quality control measures, and turnaround timelines.

Monitor and enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost control.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Team Leadership

Supervise and mentor repair technicians, engineers, and support staff.

Manage workforce planning, hiring, training, and performance reviews.

Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and safety.

Process Improvement & Quality Control

Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks.

Implement Lean / Six Sigma methodologies for process efficiency.

Oversee testing and quality checks post-repair/refurbishment.

Inventory & Resource Management

Manage procurement and inventory of spare parts and refurbishment materials.

Coordinate with vendors/suppliers to ensure timely component availability.

Customer & Stakeholder Coordination

Collaborate with customer service, sales, and product teams to align service

expectations.

Ensure timely, transparent communication regarding job status and delivery.



Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Proven experience managing high-volume repair/refurbishment centers or service operations.

Solid understanding of repair/refurbishment processes, quality control, and operational best practices.

Proficiency with ERP/CRM systems and production tracking tools.

Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, and ISO compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification or practical experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience with vendor and supply chain management for spare parts and refurbishment materials.

Demonstrated track record of process optimization, cost reduction, and improving turnaround times.
