Job Title: PLC Engineer – Production Line Automation

Location: Coimbatore (Travel Pan India)

Experience: 2–8 years

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled PLC Engineer to join our team to design, develop, and support automation systems on production lines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various PLC platforms and will be responsible for troubleshooting, commissioning, and improving automated machinery to boost productivity and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and implement PLC programs using Ladder Logic, FBD, and ST for production line automation
  • Work on Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, and Omron PLC platforms
  • Integrate and configure HMI/SCADA systems such as WinCC, FactoryTalk, and Wonderware
  • Troubleshoot PLC logic, sensors, actuators, VFDs, and servo systems
  • Install and commission automated machinery on-site
  • Improve process cycle time, safety, productivity, and reliability
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, control logic, and wiring diagrams
  • Collaborate effectively with Mechanical, Electrical, Production, and QA teams
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities for automated equipment

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation and control systems
  • Hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal/Step 7, Allen Bradley Studio 5000/RSLogix, and Mitsubishi GX Works
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols including Profinet, Profibus, Modbus TCP, and Ethernet/IP
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA platforms
  • Good understanding of electrical panels, sensors, pneumatics, and servo systems

Qualifications:

  • Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant industrial automation experience
