The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly skilled and technically strong
Senior Software Test Engineer - Automation
to take full ownership of automation delivery across all projects in our organization. This is a critical role for a senior-most technical leader in QA automation.

The ideal candidate will not only design, implement and maintain robust automation frameworks but also serve as the
go-to authority for automation strategy, governance, and delivery excellence
. You will work with multiple teams, varied applications and complex automation requirements, ensuring scalable, high-quality automation solutions that align with our business goals.

What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end automation delivery for all projects and ensure automation best practices are consistently applied.
• Design/Re-design, architect and maintain automation frameworks across web, API and desktop applications (using tools like Selenium, QFTest, Katalon, RestSharp).
• Collaborate with development, QA and product teams to define automation strategy, identify automation candidates and plan coverage.
• Mentor and guide QA engineers in automation, fostering a culture of quality and technical excellence.
• Continuously evaluate new tools, technologies and approaches to enhance test efficiency and effectiveness.
• Establish metrics, dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track automation ROI and coverage.
• Troubleshoot, debug and maintain automation suites, ensuring quick feedback cycles in CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in sprint planning, release cycles and provide early feedback on quality risks.
• Act as a subject matter expert in automation to senior leadership, offering insights and strategic recommendations.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of QA experience, with at least 5 years hands-on in Selenium Java automation and recent experience in an architect capacity.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks across multiple technologies.

• Strong hands-on skills with:

• Automation tools: Selenium, QFTest, Katalon Studio, RestSharp (API automation).

• Programming languages: Java or C# (both preferred).
• Databases: SQL (Postgres), relational databases for test data validation.

• Agile practices: Scrum, BDD, TDD.

• Demonstrated ability to lead automation delivery independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong debugging and analytical skills with ability to review logs, diagnose failures, and propose solutions.
• Excellent communication skills - ability to collaborate effectively across global distributed teams and present automation strategy to leadership.

Desired Skills (Nice To Have)

• Experience with Playwright or other modern frameworks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub/BitBucket, Code Commit).
• Experience with microservices, cloud platforms, or data engineering test strategies.
• Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and a critical-thinking mindset.
