Role Overview

The Security Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment across assigned stores. This role involves supervising security staff, monitoring systems, training store employees, and working closely with Retail Security Business Partners (RSBPs) to manage risks, incidents, and preventive measures.

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations

  • Monitor and maintain store security systems (CCTV, alarms, etc.).
  • Conduct security assessments, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
  • Manage and review deployment of security guards to meet store requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors and escalate performance or integrity issues.
  • Support event security planning (store openings, product launches, crowd control).
  • Investigate incidents, address process gaps, and ensure corrective measures.

Team Management

  • Train, coach, and supervise security staff.
  • Ensure proper staffing coverage with vendor coordination.
  • Build a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and service orientation.

Customer & Employee Safety

  • Maintain a visible presence to deter risks.
  • Support staff and customers during emergencies or safety concerns.
  • Enforce safety protocols and lead evacuation procedures when required.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare weekly reports and maintain accurate incident documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to anti-shoplifting and incident management protocols.
  • Handle all sensitive information with discretion.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; security certifications preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of retail security experience with leadership exposure.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage emergencies.
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and on-call situations.
  • Physically fit to perform patrols and security checks.
