The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with expertise in both on-premise and cloud-based network solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructures, with a strong focus on security.

Required Skills & Experience:

Accountability

• Accountable for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable on-premise and cloud-based network infrastructures.
• Responsible for configuring, managing, and optimizing cloud networking solutions on platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Collaborate with IT and Operations teams to integrate network infrastructure with surveillance systems, Point-of-Sale (POS), and other operational systems.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of network systems through proactive monitoring and tuning.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues promptly to minimize system disruptions.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for all network configurations, processes, and recovery procedures.
• Implement best practices in network security, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Scope

• On-premise networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, switching & routing).
• Cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, security groups, load balancers) across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Integration of network solutions with enterprise applications, surveillance, and POS systems.
• Collaborate and manage Stakeholders like IT Infrastructure Team, Operations and Retail Teams, Cloud Services Vendors, Security and Compliance Officers.

Outcomes

• Deliver high-performing, secure, and scalable network infrastructure that supports business operations across physical and cloud environment.
• Achieve high network availability by proactively addressing performance bottlenecks and resolving issues swiftly.
• Ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of surveillance and POS systems with the underlying network.
• Provide clear, accessible documentation for current systems, aiding in troubleshooting, onboarding, and audits.
• Continuously evolve the network environment to align with emerging technologies and organizational growth needs.

Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· Experience:

o Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering and architecture.

o Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).

o Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and other networking protocols.

o Familiarity with setting up and managing surveillance systems and retail POS systems.

o Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.

o Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, or similar. Experience in the retail industry, particularly with multi-location networks.

o Knowledge of network security practices and compliance standards.
