Delivery Head - Infrastructure Engineering - DBA & Middleware

1. Websales & Aggregator - Development and Maintenance

• Coordinate with business users (Vertical Heads), conduct monthly / weekly meetings to understand business requirements, criticality and discuss the technical / architecture level solutions and their feasibility
• Discuss the priority/ urgency for the various developments and make adjustments to the prioritization based on business needs
• Evaluate and shortlist vendor for development including aspects such as proposal review, technical / commercial negotiations and assessment of vendor capabilities; Make recommendations for vendor selection to Supervisor / CIO for final decision
• Monitor the fulfillment of legal, finance, and audit and compliance requirements for hiring of the vendors
• Brief the vendor for preparation of project plan, review and sign off the plan; Periodically review progress against project plans and incorporate course correction as needed; Identify project risks and mitigants
• Monitor and review the vendor deliverables, technical architecture and solution development to ensure deliverables are in line with expectations
• Provide test cases, define acceptance criteria and sign-off testing plan; Coordinate with business users for UAT and sign off
• Engage with Infrastructure team to ensure the necessary infrastructure in place to host the applications prior to production
• Review the reported bugs and need for enhancement, to provide continuous maintenance and support management (Level – 1, 2 and 3)

1. Aggregator coordination

• Engage with external aggregator partners such as Policy Bazaar, Coverforx, etc. (existing and new) to understand their systems and finalize the integration approach to ensure smooth webservice /API integrations
• Provide inputs as required to the aggregators on an ongoing basis for smooth integration, enabling weekly reconciliations with BAGIC systems through reports, etc.

1. Online payment gateway

• Oversee and ensure efficient support and maintenance is provided for online payment gateways
• Ensure smooth and timely addition of new aggregators to the in-house developed payment gateway (in future)
• Oversee integration of the various business verticals requiring online payment module with the in-house payment gateway

1. Renewal notices

• Oversee the timely generation of renewal notices through the homegrown application for renewal notices
• Review the renewal notice format prepared, coordinate with the business user for the same and put in the system

1. Branch/ Hub operations

• Participate in meetings with Operations stakeholders to understand operations process related changes impacting branches / hubs
• Define the technical solutions and discuss options and feasibility with operations team; Upon finalization oversee development / enhancement (in-house)

1. Scanning & Printing

• Explore and generate ideas for outsourcing of scanning and printing of policy documents to optimize cost and enhance process efficiency; Finalize solution, evaluate cost and oversee implementation of the proposed solution for outsourcing

1. Dev-Ops Project

• Develop an understanding of different solution and processes to be followed for DevOps; Analyze current development methodology of TCS BANCS, prepare approach to implement the methodology/ approach of DevOps process for development and maintenance

1. Team development

• Participate in selection process to identify right talent for positions within the team
• Establish individual performance expectations and evaluation metrics, and regularly review individual performance

Identify and create development opportunities for team members to enhance domain knowledge
