Job Description: GraphQL Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled GraphQL Lead Developer to design, develop, and oversee scalable API solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GraphQL, Java, and modern front-end frameworks like React or Angular. You will lead the architecture of GraphQL schemas, implement event-driven architectures, and ensure robust request-response handling to deliver high-performance, flexible APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of GraphQL schemas, ensuring they are optimized for performance and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain APIs using Java, adhering to best practices for security, efficiency, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with front-end teams (React/Angular) to define data requirements and integrate GraphQL APIs effectively.
  • Architect and implement event-driven systems to enable asynchronous data processing and real-time updates.
  • Manage request-response cycles, ensuring reliable and efficient data exchange between clients and servers.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews to the development team.
  • Drive best practices for API versioning, documentation, testing, and deployment.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends in GraphQL, microservices, and architecture design.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a GraphQL Developer or Lead, with hands-on experience designing GraphQL schemas.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, with experience in building scalable backend services.
  • Expertise in front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Solid understanding of API development, REST, and GraphQL.
  • Experience with event-driven architecture, message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of request-response mechanisms, including handling synchronous and asynchronous communication.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
