GM- Finance

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.
• Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO/Board for strategic decision-making.
• Conduct financial risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

2. Financial Operations & Accounting

• Oversee all accounting functions including AP/AR, GL, payroll, costing, and fixed assets.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Implement and maintain robust accounting controls and policies.
• Manage treasury operations, cash flow forecasting, and working capital optimization.

3. Compliance, Audit & Governance

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax laws, GST, income tax, and regulatory filings.
• Oversee both internal and external audits and ensure prompt closure of audit observations.
• Develop internal controls, financial SOPs, and governance frameworks.
• Ensure financial policies align with corporate governance and risk management standards.

4. Business Partnership

• Collaborate with business units to support financial analysis, pricing strategies, and cost optimization.
• Provide insightful MIS reporting and dashboards to support operational decisions.
• Participate in strategic initiatives such as expansion, M&A, investments, and feasibility studies.

5. Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and mentor finance and accounting teams, ensuring capability building and performance excellence.
• Set departmental KPIs and manage resource planning.
• Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

6. Systems, Processes & Technology

• Drive automation and digital transformation across financial operations.
• Implement or enhance ERP/financial systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
• Ensure data integrity, cybersecurity practices, and compliance within financial systems.

Required Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CMA, MBA (Finance) or equivalent professional qualification.
• 12–20+ years of progressive experience in finance & accounts, including at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, financial regulations, and corporate finance.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced financial analytics tools.
