Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely collection, analysis, and interpretation of geotechnical data, providing critical inputs to mine planning, design, and sequencing for safe and efficient operations
• Oversee the implementation of Ground Control Standards, ensuring suitability to existing and forecasted ground conditions. Monitor compliance, identify deviations, and implement corrective measures.
• Maintain records of historical ground behaviour, perform regular RMR and Q-mapping, and use findings to develop design criteria that inform ground support strategies.
• Conduct regular audits, reviews, and quality assurance of ground control systems with documentation of finding & result analysis.
• Evaluate emerging geotechnical technologies and recommend adoption based on their applicability and impact on underground operations.

Desired Attributes:

• Candidate with 10+ years of relevant experience in metal & mining industry.
• B. Tech in Mining/ M.Sc./M. Tech/ M.Sc. Tech in Geology or Applied Geology (with core experience in Geotech).
• Statutory certification of FCMM in the unrestricted category is preferred.
