Welcome to the forefront of space innovation with Skyroot AerospacePurpose of Role:A Composite Manufacturing Tool Designer is a professional responsible for designing and creating specialized tools, molds, jigs and fixtures used in composite manufacturing processes. These tools are essential for ensuring the accuracy, repeatability and efficiency of manufacturing operations.Responsibilities:· Develop detailed designs for layup tools, jigs, fixtures and tooling in composite manufacturing.· Analyze manufacturing processes to determine jig and fixture requirements.· Analyze composite manufacturing processes for layup tool and mold requirements· Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and production teams to understand process specifics.· Evaluate existing tools for efficiency and cost -effectiveness improvements.· Work closely with cross -functional teams, addressing design challenges and ensuring compatibility.· Select appropriate materials based on factors like durability, weight and cost.· Estimate manufacturing costs, considering materials, processes and labor.· Create prototypes to validate design concepts before full -scale production.· Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications and bills of materials for manufacturing.· Implement measures to ensure jigs and fixtures meet design specifications and standards. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address issues related to tooling.· Identify opportunities for process, material and manufacturing technique improvements.· Provide training to production personnel on the proper use and maintenance of tools.· Ensure designed tools comply with safety standards and regulations.· Troubleshoot and solve issues related to jig and fixture performance.· Stay updated on manufacturing and design advancements for innovative tool development.Skills required:· Proficient in designing and creating specialized tools, molds, jigs and fixtures· Strong knowledge on GD&T.· Strong Knowledge of CAD (Computer -Aided Design) software.· Ability to Innovate in layup tool development, design principles and upgrade· Willingness to take on non -traditional tasks, roles, responsibilities and challenges needed to accomplish company goals and objectivesQualification:· Diploma/ B.Tech/ PG in Tool DesigningPerks & Benefits:We provide seamless transportation, nourishing meals and elevated wellbeing – Because we believe everyone deserves a smooth ride to successNote : We also welcome women with career gaps and applicants from non -aerospace or defence sectors who can bring valuable skills and experiences to our team.
