Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for a Senior Legal Consultant within the FMCG industry. The Senior Legal Consultant will provide comprehensive legal support including drafting and reviewing legal documents, addressing legal issues, and offering professional legal advice. The role involves ensuring compliance with legal standards, assessing business processes for legal risks, and providing legal assistance to various departments as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or Master's degree (LLM) is required
  • Proficiency in Law and Legal Issues critical to the FMCG sector
  • Skills in Legal Document Preparation and contract drafting and evaluation
  • Experience in providing Legal Advice and resolving corporate legal matters
  • Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and industry-specific regulations
  • Consumer laws
  • Legal Metrology Act
  • Food Safety and Standards
  • Drugs and Cosmetics Act
  • Intellectual property laws
  • Property/rent laws
  • Laws related to health and wellness services
  • Contract laws, Companies Act and other business, commercial, corporate and compliance laws related to manufacturing, trade and business operations.
  • Work on domestic and international transactions, agreements and other legal documents (e.g. related to manufacturing and trade operations, collaborations, business, funding, financial/ securities offerings)
  • Handle the Company's intellectual property matters.
  • Handle the Company's disputes, any ADR matters and litigation matters before Courts and Authorities
  • Interact with Advocates and other consultants for specific cases.
  • Conduct research as required.
  • Provide legal advice as required.
  • Attend meetings and negotiations as required.
  • Experience within the FMCG industry is highly beneficial
