Experience : 2 to 3 yrs on construction site

Skills Required :

a. Knowledge & Understanding of construction site work

b. Strong analytical, planning, organizing, creative thinking skills

c. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, handling of manpower and vendors.

d. Decision making, problem solving skills, team work

e. Hands on knowledge of CAD , any other related software & MS Office

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Site Engineer is expected to perform following duties:

1) Understanding the site conditions:

Survey the site, demarcate the boundaries, take spot levels and prepare a drawing. Supply this data to the office / architect.

2) Set up a site office, labour hutment, watertank, cement godown, store.

3) Handling of Drawings :

Each drawing received on site is to be marked/stamped with the date of receipt.

The old drawings, in case of receiving revised drawings, are to be marked, "Superseded" with drawing received on. The old, superseded, drawings are to be kept in different folders. Architectural drawings and Engineering drawings are to be kept in different folders. Only latest drawings are to be used in the work. Receipt of drawing is to be recorded in the register of drawings.

4) Study of Drawings:

Each drawing is to be studied for :-

◆ Numerical accuracy

◆ Discrepancies

◆ Missing Details

◆ Errors

Clarifications to be sought promptly.

5) Estimation of Quantities :

Estimation of quantities of different items and different materials is to be done

from the drawings.

6) Planning of sequence of activities:

A proper sequence of different activities is to be worked out after having discussions with the seniors.

7) Estimate the labour force requirement according to the sequence of activities planned, volume of work involved and the time frame.

8) Understand the specifications (i.e. Procedures of carrying out work of different items)

9) Assign or distribute the work to appropriate agencies and check the work with the help of drawings during the periodic rounds through the site activity.

10) Detect errors and guide the workers to rectify them in time.

11) Prepare small sketches of different items to explain it to the workers.

12) Take measurements of the work completed with the help of proper diagrams / sketches / drawings showing correct address and title of the activity. These measurements are to be sent to the office for preparing bills.

13) Prepare labour contractor's bills and send it to the office every month.

14) Prepare account of petty cash and send it to the office regularly.

15) Maintain and update different registers for different materials.

16) Maintain materials, instruments and equipments in a good condition.

17) Maintain records of labourers as required by government authorities like 'Labour Department' and 'Health Department'.

18) Report to the office through 'Daily Reports' prepared every day at the end of the day.

19) Know about tender items, extra items and important conditions of contract.

20) Develop the habit of going through the 'Check List' before starting any activity.

21) Co-ordinate with other consultants / agencies.

22) Any other responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Pay: ₹20, ₹25,000.00 per month
