Role Overview

The Assistant Manager US Audit will be responsible for managing and executing audit engagements for US-based clients in accordance with US GAAP and PCAOB/US audit standards. The role demands strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team and communicate effectively with global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage statutory audit and review engagements for US clients.
  • Ensure audits are performed in compliance with US GAAP, PCAOB, and other applicable standards.
  • Supervise and review the work of audit staff, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with onshore US teams for planning, execution, and finalization of audit assignments.
  • Identify audit and accounting issues and propose practical solutions.
  • Ensure documentation and work papers meet firm and regulatory standards.
  • Manage multiple engagements and client expectations effectively.
  • Provide guidance, training, and feedback to junior team members.
  • Stay updated on US auditing and accounting developments.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in auditing (preferably with US or international clients).
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, PCAOB standards, and audit methodologies.
  • Experience working in a shared service or Big 4/Top-tier audit firm environment is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage teams and work in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, audit tools, and data analytics tools (preferred).

Work Mode:

Hybrid – 3 days in office (Chennai), 2 days remote.
