Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate, creative, and industry-experienced Graphic Design professional to join our faculty team. The successful candidate will teach foundational and advanced design courses, mentor students, contribute to curriculum development, and support departmental initiatives. This role requires a strong balance of academic expertise and practical, hands-on design experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Instruction

  • Deliver engaging lectures, studio sessions,
  • Teach topics such as typography, layout design, branding, illustration, design theory, digital design, UI/UX, and design software.
  • Provide clear demonstrations and hands-on guidance in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and relevant emerging tools.
  • Evaluate student work, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic records.

Curriculum Development

  • Assist in reviewing and updating the graphic design curriculum to align with current industry trends and technologies.
  • Develop course materials, project briefs, assignments, and learning outcomes.
  • Integrate industry best practices, design thinking, and real-world applications into the learning experience.

Student Mentorship

  • Advise and mentor students on academic progress, creative direction, and career opportunities.
  • Support students in developing professional portfolios and preparing for internships or employment.
  • Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving through project-based learning.

Departmental & Professional Contributions

  • Participate in faculty meetings, department events, exhibitions, and accreditation processes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain active involvement in professional design practice, research, or creative work.

QualificationsRequired

  • Degree / Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated teaching ability or strong interest in teaching.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software and tools.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing professional and/or academic work.

Preferred

  • Prior teaching experience at the college (not mandatory)
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design, motion graphics, or digital illustration.
  • Industry experience in creative agencies, studios, or freelance practice.

  • Strong sense of creativity, aesthetics, and visual storytelling.
