Job Description SummaryAll resources, and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop foundational knowledge in their professional discipline, potentially supporting specialized technical areas.

  • Apply general business understanding gained through education or prior experience.

  • Recognize how their team's work contributes to broader business objectives.

  • Resolve issues using established procedures, escalating to supervisors or senior team members when necessary.

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to address challenges.

  • For customer-facing roles, build strong relationships and act as the primary technical interface between the customer and GE.

  • Communicate technical information clearly, ask relevant questions, and ensure mutual understanding.
     

Required Qualifications:

  • This role requires basic experience in the Services & Field Services. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
     

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
