Consultant Ophthalmologist

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams to evaluate vision and detect diseases or abnormalities.
- Diagnose and treat eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.
- Perform eye surgeries including LASIK, cataract removal, and other microsurgical procedures.
- Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as required.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.
- Educate patients on proper eye care and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals for integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to medical documentation standards.
- Stay updated with developments in ophthalmology and participate in continued education programs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- MBBS and MS/MD/DNB in Ophthalmology from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical license to practice as an Ophthalmologist.
- Fellowship in a subspecialty (e.g., Retina, Cornea, Glaucoma) is a plus.
- Proven experience in clinical and surgical ophthalmology (as per role requirements).
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools (OCT, Fundus Camera, Slit Lamp, etc.)
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Commitment to patient-centered care.
