Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye exams to evaluate vision and detect diseases or abnormalities.
  • Diagnose and treat eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.
  • Perform eye surgeries including LASIK, cataract removal, and other microsurgical procedures.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as required.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.
  • Educate patients on proper eye care and preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals for integrated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to medical documentation standards.
  • Stay updated with developments in ophthalmology and participate in continued education programs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • MBBS and MS/MD/DNB in Ophthalmology from a recognized institution.
  • Valid medical license to practice as an Ophthalmologist.
  • Fellowship in a subspecialty (e.g., Retina, Cornea, Glaucoma) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in clinical and surgical ophthalmology (as per role requirements).
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools (OCT, Fundus Camera, Slit Lamp, etc.)
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care.
