Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Engineer with hands-on experience in Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) installation and commissioning. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing mechanical assembly, installation, alignment, and commissioning of wind turbines at our Ilkal project site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical installation and assembly of WTG components (tower, nacelle, hub, blades, etc.)
- Ensure accurate alignment and torqueing of all mechanical connections as per OEM standards
- Coordinate with crane teams for safe lifting and placement of components
- Execute commissioning activities in coordination with electrical and SCADA teams
- Conduct pre-commissioning inspections and checklists
- Maintain all site reports, documentation, and commissioning records
- Adhere strictly to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies on-site
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues during installation and provide timely resolutions
- Work with cross-functional teams including project, quality, and service tea
- Assist in training junior technicians and site staff
Key Requirements:
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in WTG mechanical assembly, installation, or commissioning
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems in wind turbines
