Key Responsibilities1. Payment Recovery
- Follow up for long-pending payment dues from clients and contractors.
- Maintain an updated aging report and track overdue accounts.
- Liaise with clients through calls, emails, and site visits to ensure payment clearance.
- Assist in finalizing settlement terms for overdue accounts.
- Coordinate with the accounts team for invoice issues and reconciliations.
2. Materials Recovery
- Track issued centering/shuttering materials and ensure timely return.
- Conduct regular site visits to verify materials and manage overdue returns.
- Communicate with site engineers and contractors regarding shortages or damages.
- Prepare and maintain delivery challans, return receipts, and item reconciliation reports.
3. Legal Coordination (NEW)
- Work closely with the company's legal advisor/advocate on chronic overdue cases.
- Collect and prepare all documents required for legal action (invoices, challans, agreements, communications).
- Issue notices (legal notices/demand notices) after management approval.
- Support the legal team in filing cases such as:
- Cheque bounce cases (if applicable)
- Civil recovery suits
- Material theft/non-return cases
- Coordinate client visits for legal discussions/settlements.
- Attend court hearings as required and update management on case progress.
- Maintain a legal case tracker with status updates, next hearing dates, and recovery outcomes.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain systematic records for payments, materials, notices, and legal communication.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on recovery status.
- Escalate serious disputes or disputes involving high-value materials/payments.
5. Client Relationship & Communication
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and site teams.
- Resolve disputes politely and professionally before legal escalation.
- Explain charges, rates, shortages, damage values, and billing clearly.
Skills & Qualifications
- 3–6 years experience in collections, recovery, legal coordination, or construction material hiring.
- Good understanding of centering/shuttering materials (preferred).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
- Experience working with advocates/legal consultants is a bonus.
- Ability to travel regularly to sites and client offices.
- Proficiency in MS Office and documentation.
