We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Lead Software Analyst to join our Production Support team in the Insurance domain. Majesco is a global leader for Cloud Insurance software solutions & products and supporting many of the leading Insurance companies in the US & rest of the world. Job Overview
This role requires hands-on experience in supporting business-critical applications, resolving production issues, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability and uptime. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, insurance domain knowledge, and a solid understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes.
This position will directly work with the customer / technical teams to implement / Support Majesco products for our clients in various sizes and Tiers. Responsible for quality delivery of the assigned work which will be part of major deliveries from Majesco to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 production support for insurance applications (Billing).
- Analyze and resolve production incidents and service requests within SLA timelines.
- Work with development teams to perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
- Monitor application performance, job failures, system logs, and data integrity issues.
- Communicate with business users and stakeholders to gather issue details and provide timely updates.
- Participate in incident triage calls, daily health checks, and on-call rotations as needed.
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles, support documentation, and runbooks.
- Support release deployments, data patching, and batch job monitoring.
- Identify recurring issues and suggest automation or process improvements.
- Defining and configuring Rules in Majesco System through Rule Engine
- Support the Quality Assurance team in testing.
- Database Scripting and verification of the Data flow during defect analysis.
- Defect tracking and status updates to the issues assigned to you.
- Interaction with customer stakeholders for new requirements and providing business as well as Solution insight to help customer operations.
- Take full accountability for understanding changes required by customer and provide valuable suggestions from Product point of view.
Qualifications and Technical Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years of Development experience.
- Application programming with inclination towards domain (Specifically Insurance Domain).
- Development experience with object-oriented programming JAVA technology stack preferred.
- Exposure to any database with clear understanding of RDBMS concepts (SQL Scripting, Data analysis skills, basic Performance improvement understandings).
- Experience with incident management tools like ServiceNow, Remedy, or JIRA.
- Desirable: Experience in setting up business rules and workflow concepts.
- Strong technical aptitude for both cloud-based and on-premises client solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify and communicate technical issues with customers.
- Advanced problem-solving skills, demonstrating the ability to identify, define and understand a problem, have knowledge of root cause analysis and research effective solutions for the customer.
- Experience and ability to collaborate with multiple teams.
- Ability to work independently, remotely, and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Property & Casualty insurance background with Billing domain experience.
- Experience with the Majesco Platforms/Products.
- Experience in developing and supporting of Insurance services products.
- Insurance certification.
