Job Summary

Responsible for developing and implementing packaging solutions focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.

What You Will Do:

• Design packaging for products or components and provide comprehensive specifications and guidance to suppliers.
• Identify suppliers for parts and materials and determine optimal packaging methods for diverse distribution networks.
• Follow established procedures to approve all packaging for assigned product lines. Monitor the quality and effectiveness of current packaging and address transportation-related issues.
• Evaluate packaging materials, automation technologies, and equipment; regularly report findings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Computer-Aided Design & Engineering - Proficient in specialised graphics software, capable of producing, analysing, simulating, and testing product drafts.

• Generates detailed specifications using CAD applications.
• Leverages reusable libraries for design efficiency.
• Conducts basic drafting tasks, including wireframes and solid object modelling.
• Implements routine modifications to schematics and drawings.
• Creates two- and three-dimensional views as well as perspective illustrations.

Packaging - Skilled in contemporary packaging practices and tools, ensuring safe and visually appealing packaging of products and components.

• Assists in installation, maintenance, and repair of packaging machinery under supervision.
• Operates packaging equipment according to precise specifications.
• Follows packaging development protocols and supports key project phases.
• Performs essential package testing, including distribution simulation and leak detection.
• Develops packaging specifications for new products.
