JOB PURPOSE

As a Configuration Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our Pricefx-based pricing solution. This includes implementing new simple to medium-level requirements, fixing bugs, and ensuring the system runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to support business needs and deliver high-quality configuration updates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and optimize existing Pricefx configurations to ensure system stability and performance.
• Implement new configuration requirements ranging from simple to moderately complex.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and system issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Conduct testing and validation of configuration changes before deployment.
• Work with version control systems (e.g., GIT) to manage configuration updates and ensure traceability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of configuration practices.
• Document configuration changes and maintain technical documentation for future reference.

What we're looking for

• Professional experience in object-oriented programming, ideally with Java.
• Strong understanding of data structures (arrays, maps), algorithmic thinking, and coding fundamentals (variables, loops, conditions).
• Familiarity with Groovy language features, including syntax, operators, and closures.
• Hands-on experience with IDE tools such as IntelliJ IDEA or similar.
• Proficiency in GIT workflows (feature branches, checkout, pull, push, commit, rebase, amend, merge, stash).
• Solid problem-solving skills with a focus on solution development, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with SQL databases, including table management and data analysis.
• Strong communication skills in English (CEFR B2 level or higher), with the ability to clearly express technical concepts and understand documentation.
• Domain knowledge of the Pricefx software is extremely helpful but not required.
