Lead Data Scientist(Gen AI)

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead generative AI initiatives, shaping advanced AI solutions that drive business impact. You will work on cutting-edge projects involving large language models, LangChain, LangGraph, and cloud-based AI platforms to develop innovative applications. As a Lead Data Scientist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply statistical and data analysis techniques, and implement AI models that enhance decision-making and customer experiences. You will be responsible for end-to-end model development, from feature engineering to testing, validation, and deployment, while mentoring junior team members and sharing knowledge. This role combines technical leadership, hands-on AI implementation, and strategic influence within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of generative AI solutions using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, AWS Bedrock, and Databricks.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, data preprocessing, and feature engineering to support AI model development.
• Implement intent classification and response generation systems integrating AI with business rules.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Apply statistical methods, validation techniques, and model evaluation approaches to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Mentor junior data scientists and share expertise across teams.
• Stay updated with emerging generative AI trends, tools, and best practices, applying new approaches to improve solutions.
• Document models, workflows, and knowledge to ensure transparency and reproducibility.

• 6+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related fields, with 1+ years of hands-on generative AI/LLM experience.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and analysis.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, and implementing AI workflows, prompt engineering, and RAG techniques.
• Strong foundation in statistics, hypothesis testing, and probability distributions.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS), Databricks, and knowledge graph technologies.
• Experience in intent detection, rule-based AI augmentation, and evaluating generative AI outputs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, collaboration, and communication abilities.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field is a plus.
• Knowledge of semantic search, vector databases, and customer support AI applications is desirable.
