Overview The Java Developer position is essential to our software development team in Kolkata. As part of our Mega Walk-In Drive on February 1st, 2025, we are looking for skilled developers to contribute to our innovative projects. The primary goal of this role is to design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java-based applications that meet the needs of our clients and users. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver quality software on time and within scope. The Java Developer will not only implement new features but will also troubleshoot and optimize existing solutions. Your analytical skills will play a crucial role in understanding user requirements and translating them into technical specifications. Furthermore, your contributions will help enhance the company's technological capabilities in a competitive market. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and maintain Java applications
  • Collaborate with team members to identify user needs
  • Write efficient and clean code following best practices
  • Conduct system analysis and performance tuning
  • Implement RESTful web services and APIs
  • Participate in code reviews and debugging sessions
  • Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
  • Work within agile development methodologies
  • Maintain version control of code using Git or similar tools
  • Document development processes and maintain detailed documentation
  • Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior developers
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proven experience in Java development (3+ years preferred)
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Experience with Spring/Spring Boot framework
  • Ability to work with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito)
  • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Keen attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements
