About the role
We're building an early-stage fintech product at Mokshapay and looking for an Android Developer Intern who can own features end-to-end. If you've built apps from scratch, integrated backends and third-party vendors, and care about smooth, reliable mobile experiences, you'll thrive here. You'll work directly with the founding team and help shape the product from the ground up.
Internship Details
Location: Remote
Stipend: ₹5,000/month
Tenure: 3 months
PPO: Full-time offer based on performance
Start: Immediate (flexible)
What you'll do
Build, test, and maintain the Android app for performance, stability, and scalability.
Ship core features: authentication (OTP/biometric), onboarding, dashboards, notifications.
Integrate backend APIs and third-party vendors
Participate in product/design discussions and iterate quickly on the MVP.
Debug issues, profile performance, and improve reliability across devices.
Follow modern Android best practices (architecture, testing, CI/CD, code reviews, Git).
What we're looking for
Hands-on Android with Kotlin/Java and Android SDK; familiarity with Jetpack (ViewModel, LiveData/Flow, Navigation, Room).
Built 2–3 apps from scratch (personal/academic/freelance; Play Store or GitHub links).
Experience integrating REST/GraphQL APIs (Postman/Insomnia), handling errors, retries, and pagination.
Backend & vendor integrations: comfortable wiring mobile with backend services and providers (e.g., Firebase, payment gateways, KYC, analytics, crashlytics, FCM).
Database know-how: SQL/NoSQL basics, schema design, local persistence, and sync patterns.
Solid grasp of UI/UX principles and responsive layouts (Compose or XML).
Ownership mindset, curiosity, and the ability to ship in a fast-moving startup.
Nice to have (big plus):
Flutter/Dart experience (single codebase experiments or production features).
Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow, Clean Architecture/MVVM.
Basic security hygiene (secure storage, TLS pinning basics, obfuscation/proguard).
CI/CD exposure (GitHub Actions/Fastlane) and testing (unit/UI).
