We are looking for a detail-oriented and creative Editor to oversee the creation, refinement, and publication of high-quality written content. The ideal candidate should have excellent language skills, strong editorial judgment, and the ability to guide writers toward producing engaging, accurate, and impactful content that aligns with the companys tone and objectives.

Role & responsibilities

  • Working on frontlist CBSE titles in liaison with authors, edited manuscripts, handled books individually and taken them through all stages of development till handover to production
  • To Map, grade and revise books in accordance with latest NCERT pedagogy and syllabus
  • Helping team in creating USPs for new titles, in view of latest NCERT circulars and New Education Policy draft
  • Proofread and peer-reviewed books for other editors in the team
  • Managing editorial processes for content development, copyediting, and proofreading, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Streamlining editorial workflows to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
  • Collaborating with design and production teams to ensure a seamless publishing process.

Preferred candidate profile

  • A bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
  • 2+ years of editing experience
  • Ability to adapt the tone and style to a particular audiences sensitivity
  • Outstanding grammar, spelling, punctuation, and written language skills
  • Experience with Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills
