Position Overview :

We are seeking a Tech Lead with strong expertise in Java backend development, microservices architecture, and distributed systems to lead a dynamic engineering team.

The ideal candidate is both a hands-on coder and a leader who can drive best practices, ensure high performance, and mentor the team while collaborating across product and QA functions in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor a team of backend developers; conduct technical reviews and code guidance.

- Architect, design, and implement scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.

- Build and optimize multi-threaded, high-performance applications with strong design patterns.

- Oversee deployments and integrations using Tomcat, Docker, and Kubernetes (basics).

- Work with Elasticsearch, Kafka, Spring Data JPA, and MySQL for search, messaging, and persistence.

- Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, and Frontend teams in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) setups via JIRA.

- Enforce code quality, testing standards, and CI/CD best practices with JUnit and Mockito.

- Proactively drive innovation, architectural improvements, and process enhancements.

- Troubleshoot complex issues, perform performance tuning, and resolve production incidents.

Desired Skills :

- Strong expertise in Java (8+) and Spring Boot.

- Proven experience with Microservices and RESTful APIs.

- Deep knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency, and design patterns.

- Proficiency in Elasticsearch (indexing, querying, performance optimization).

- Hands-on experience with Spring Data JPA, MySQL, Tomcat.

- Event-driven systems with Kafka.

- Source control with Git; working knowledge of Eclipse/STS IDEs.

- Strong unit testing experience (JUnit, Mockito).

- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes (basics).

- Experience in Agile delivery models.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Cassandra for distributed data storage.

- JanusGraph for graph-based data modeling.

- Apache Spark for big data processing.

- Working knowledge of Linux environments.

- Exposure to Angular/React for front-end development.

- Experience with or for advanced visualization and graph rendering.
