Job Purpose

The Manager Operations and Maintenance will oversee the day-to-day IT operations and maintenance of the iGOT Karmayogi platform. The role involves ensuring efficient service delivery, platform reliability, and continuous improvement of IT processes in alignment with the organizations strategic vision. The incumbent will lead a team of IT professionals to ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT systems.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute strategic plans for platform operations and maintenance focusing on efficiency, uptime, and cost optimization.
  2. Oversee daily operations using ticketing tools such as Jira, OS Ticket, and Zoho.
  3. Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve incidents and minimize downtime, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
  4. Monitor and prioritize tickets, analyze trends, and ensure effective escalation management.
  5. Use ticket analysis insights to drive structural fixes and platform improvements.
  6. Lead and mentor the operations and maintenance team for optimal system performance.
  7. Collaborate with engineering, IT, product, and vendor teams to implement technical solutions.
  8. Conduct periodic capacity assessments to plan for future operational needs.

Job Qualification & Requirements

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in IT operations and maintenance, including at least 3 years in large-scale government IT projects.
  • Experience managing at least two enterprise-grade systems.
  • Proven record in handling e-Government or large-scale digital transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding of IT service delivery, infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, databases, and cloud technologies).
  • Proficiency in IT service management frameworks like ITIL.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and managerial coordination.

Education Requirements

  • B.Tech / B.E. / M.Tech / MCA / Postgraduate in IT or equivalent.
  • Good academic record from a recognized university/institution.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or CISSP preferred.
