A Business Development Representative:
Department: Sales, Marketing & Technical Promotion
Industry: Life Sciences / Laboratory & Scientific Instruments
Role Overview:
As a Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in promoting and selling high-end Life Science laboratory instruments and scientific solutions. The role involves direct interaction with scientists, researchers, and institutional buyers to understand their technical needs and offer tailored solutions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Promote scientific instruments and solutions to Government Research Institutes, Pharma/Biotech R&D Labs, Medical/Pharmacy Colleges, Universities, and Testing Laboratories.
- Engage with Scientists, HODs, Researchers, and R&D teams to understand their current requirements and upcoming projects.
- Generate and qualify leads, manage the sales pipeline, and ensure closure of opportunities.
- Prepare and maintain sales funnels, forecasts, and business development plans for the assigned region.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with internal teams for quotations, technical discussions, and order processing.
Key Requirements:
- Must possess a two-wheeler with a valid driving license.
- Strong understanding of Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related fields.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to engage in fieldwork and travel.
Qualifications and Skills:
- M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Zoology or related disciplines.
- Freshers and experienced candidates (in scientific sales) are welcome to apply.
