Role Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cypress Automation Test Engineer to join our growing QA team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test automation using , solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, and a passion for building scalable, maintainable test frameworks.

Key Responsibilities :

Test Automation Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using

- Implement Cypress best practices, including the use of custom commands, fixtures, page objects, and reusable components.

- Develop automation frameworks that are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with QA best practices.

Testing Execution & Analysis :

- Execute automated and manual tests to identify bugs, performance issues, and functional gaps.

- Conduct cross-browser, responsive, and end-to-end testing to ensure consistent UI/UX across platforms.

- Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA or similar issue tracking tools.

CI/CD & Integration :

- Integrate Cypress automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps).

- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to ensure seamless test execution during build and deployment cycles.

Collaboration & Documentation :

- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product owners to define test requirements and acceptance criteria.

- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and automation reports.

- Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Key Requirements :

Education :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience :

to 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing for web applications.

- Proven expertise in with JavaScript or TypeScript.

- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, DOM structure, and browser-based testing.

- Familiarity with API testing, JSON, and RESTful web services.

- Experience with test reporting tools such as Allure or Mochawesome.

Technical Skills :

- Strong command of JavaScript / TypeScript programming.

- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

- Proficiency with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket, or GitHub).

- Working knowledge of Agile testing methodologies.

- Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) or security testing (optional but a plus).

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

- Ability to manage tasks independently and work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in testing enterprise or cloud-based web applications.

- Exposure to API automation using Postman or RestAssured.

- Knowledge of Workday, Oracle Cloud, or ERP testing is advantageous.

- Familiarity with Docker or containerized test environments.
