Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using VB.NET
  • Work with SQL Server and write complex queries, triggers, and stored procedures
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues to improve application reliability and performance
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements
  • Enhance existing features and propose improvements for system optimization
  • Integrate APIs and third-party services where necessary
  • Prepare technical documentation and conduct code reviews
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, security, and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in VB.NET, .NET Framework/.NET Core
  • Strong experience with SQL Server or equivalent database systems
  • Good understanding of OOP principles, MVC, and event-driven programming
  • Experience with Windows Forms or ASP.NET Web Forms/MVC
  • Knowledge of version control tools such as Git or TFS
  • Familiarity with debugging tools and error-handling techniques

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

  • Knowledge of C# and capability to work across .NET tech stack
  • Experience with Crystal Reports, SSRS, or Power BI
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and web services (SOAP/WCF)
  • Basic knowledge of Azure or cloud-based development
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
