Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified Safety Officer to oversee occupational health, safety, and environment (HSE) compliance at our large-scale manufacturing facility. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing safety standards, conducting regular audits, and driving a culture of zero incidents across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement statutory safety regulations and ensure compliance with the Factories Act and other applicable laws.

  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections across plant operations.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, SOPs, and emergency response plans.

  • Organize safety training programs, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for workers and supervisors.

  • Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe incidents; recommend corrective and preventive actions.

  • Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

  • Coordinate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to integrate safety into day-to-day operations.

  • Maintain statutory records, liaise with government authorities, and ensure timely reporting.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualification: Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS / DIS / PDIS) offered by the Central Labour Institute (CLI) or Regional Labour Institutes (RLIs).

  • Graduate in Science/Engineering (preferred) with specialization in safety management.

  • 3–8 years of experience as a Safety Officer in manufacturing / process industry (feed, food, fertilizer, chemicals, or similar).

  • Sound knowledge of statutory requirements, safety standards, and EHS best practices.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to train and motivate workforce.
