1. Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, etc.).
  • Ensure smooth and compliant month-end and year-end closing.
  • Maintain comprehensive accounting records and ensure proper reconciliation of all financial accounts.

2. Tax Compliance & Planning

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all statutory tax returns (Income Tax, GST, VAT, Payroll Tax, etc.).
  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify tax risks and opportunities; recommend strategies to optimize tax liabilities.

3. Tax Audits & Disputes

  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual tax and statutory audits.
  • Handle tax-related correspondence, notices, queries, and disputes with authorities.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation required for tax audits, filings, and regulatory reviews.

4. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

  • Develop and implement strong internal controls for accuracy and compliance in financial reporting and taxation.
  • Review existing processes regularly and recommend improvements for efficiency and best practices.

5. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, guide, and supervise the accounting and tax team.
  • Provide ongoing support, mentorship, and training.
  • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven work environment.

6. Financial Analysis

  • Provide financial insights to management on performance, tax efficiency, and financial health.
  • Support decision-making through well-evaluated and tax-effective financial solutions.

7. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Align tax planning initiatives with long-term financial goals and projections.
