The Impact: Giving Our Robot a Soul

This is not just about writing scripts. You will be the architect of our robot's "social intelligence," ensuring it feels like a truly personalized and proactive companion. Your work will directly enable our robot to:

• Build Strong Bonds:
  Design interactions that make users feel understood, cared for, and deeply connected to their robot.
• Be a Proactive Partner:
  Structure conversations and behaviors that anticipate needs and gently engage users, rather than waiting for commands.
• Adapt & Grow:
  Define how the robot learns about each user's unique personality, context, and preferences over time, adapting its responses to feel truly personal.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

• Conversation Design:
  Design natural, engaging, and emotionally intelligent conversation flows for the robot across various topics, from daily assistance to sharing memories.
• Personality & Empathy Modeling:
  Define the robot's core personality traits and how they evolve. You will specify how the robot expresses empathy, humor, curiosity, and other emotions through dialogue and subtle prompts.
• Proactive Engagement Strategies:
  Develop scenarios and triggers for the robot to initiate conversations, offer assistance, or suggest activities without being intrusive.
• User Profile Definition:
  Work with our AI team to define the key psychological and contextual data points the robot needs to collect to build deep, personalized user profiles.
• Behavioral Adaptation:
  Design rules and frameworks for how the robot's behavior (conversational style, pace, tone) dynamically adapts based on a user's mood, preferences, and historical interactions.
• Ethical Interaction Design:
  Ensure all conversations and proactive behaviors are respectful, ethical, and prioritize user comfort, privacy, and autonomy.
• Testing & Iteration:
  Participate in user testing, gather feedback, and iterate on conversational designs to continuously improve the robot's naturalness and effectiveness.

Required Skills & Experience

• Conversational Design Expertise:
  Proven experience in designing compelling, natural, and goal-oriented conversations for chatbots, voice assistants, or other interactive systems.
• Cognitive Psychology / Human Behavior Knowledge:
  A strong understanding of human psychology, cognitive science, social dynamics, and how people form relationships.
• Empathy & Storytelling:
  Exceptional empathy for diverse user groups (especially the elderly and children) and a talent for crafting engaging narratives and interactions.
• Analytical Thinking:
  The ability to break down complex human behaviors into structured models and design principles.
• Collaborative Spirit:
  Excellent communication skills to articulate design principles to technical teams (AI, engineering) and work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.

psychology, linguistics, human-computer interaction, or a related social science discipline
