  • Ensure the Extrusion department is organized and controlled efficiently to ensure the maximum production of good quality material.
  • Liaise with planning to ensure the most effective mix of work and customer priorities. Schedule work in the absence of a planner.
  • Ensure that the system and methods of work and plant produce material to the correct quality and investigate, monitor, and control areas of concern.
  • Investigate and recommend changes to plant procedures to improve the performance of the department.
  • Provide information and reports for management control purposes.
  • Deal with technical affecting the performance of the department including quality problems and production engineering matters.
  • Ensure the supply and integrity of materials and equipment necessary for the department to perform.
  • Monitor production orders before production.
  • Ensure training requirements are identified and carried out.
  • Deal with industrial relations matters that arise within the department.
  • Preparing Daily Production Plan based on the availability of Resources and Dispatch Plan.
  • Monitor the performance of all processes to ensure the workplace is clean and safe. Meeting to be conducted with all shop floor employees.
  • Preparation of validation and revalidation plan covering all the process
  • Conducting Validation and revalidation as per plan and initiating necessary actions if any deviations found
  • Responsible for proper identification of goods with their status (e.g. RM, In process, semi-finished, FG, ready for dispatch, waiting for rework, reworked products, rejected, waiting for inspection, etc.,)
  • To ensure Work instructions are prepared to cover the safety of the product, handling method, avoiding human errors, and displayed in respective areas.
  • To ensure the operators are aware of documents that need to be used.
  • Review process-related documents frequently and update them when and where necessary.
  • Preparing of annual PM plan based on the manufacturer's recommendation
  • Preparing and executing Daily preventive maintenance for all machines/equipment/utilities
  • Reviewing and updating the Daily PM checklist based on the Identified root cause during BD
  • Conducting preventive maintenance for all machines and utilities.
  • Maintaining Critical Spares and ensuring it was readily usable at any movement
  • Renewal of competency certificate for materials handling equipment and pressure vessels.
  • Following the Workplace Safety and 5S activities
  • Review and revise the PM checklist frequently
  • Identification of needs and expectations of interested parties
  • Conducting regular trainings of Quality Policy, Objectives, and its status to their subordinators
  • Responsible for the effective implementation of IMS in the process
  • Ensuring planned arrangements are met
  • Responsible for the promotion of customer focus across their process
  • Ensuring only the latest / updated documents are available in the process
  • Ensuring the changes made in the IMS are effectively communicated to the respective personnel
  • Identification of Risks and Opportunities in their respective process
  • Ensuring the effective implementation of action planned to mitigate the risk
  • Responsible for updating/modifying the Risks and Opportunities, whenever any issue raises
  • Frequently review the effectiveness of the actions taken for the identified risk
  • Responsible for achieving department targets
  • Monitoring of MTTR / MTBF and initiating necessary actions to achieve the Targets
  • To update the preventive/predictive maintenance checklist as a result of BD Assessment / Risk and Opportunities, OEE, MTTR / MTBF monitoring
  • Conducting Induction training for new joiners
  • Identification of process-related training for their subordinators
  • Conducting job training on the process
  • Evaluating the Training conducted
  • Maintaining and updating of skill matrix for their subordinators
  • Ensuring proper maintenance of Tools
  • To ensure the Monitoring and Measuring equipment used for the Maintenance Process and in the equipment and Utilities are Calibrated as per plan.
  • Ensuring necessary safety gadgets are properly used during process execution
  • Identification of Organizational knowledge for their subordinates, that all necessary for their process and sharing the knowledge through discussion / updating the required documented information/training
  • Responsible for creating and updating of process related documents (after the approval from the top management)
  • Responsible for proper maintenance of process-related documents/records until the retention period
  • Responsible for frequent review of documented information for its suitability and adequacy
  • Responsible for the effective implementation of decided actions for the identified Non-conformances.
  • Responsible for review of actions for its effectiveness
  • Planning and execution of continual improvements in their respective process
  • To ensure proper test runs are conducted after service carried out by external service providers before handing over to the production department
  • Calibration of Measuring devices
  • Control of Energy and Water consumption
  • Investigating and taking corrective actions/preventive actions for Environmental nonconformances
  • Coordination with government bodies
  • To act as Fire-Coordinator during emergencies
