JOB DESCRIPTION

Conduct rigorous review and validation of IRS forms and tax documents to uphold regulatory compliance and precise account certification, while efficiently processing client requests and partnering with internal teams to drive risk mitigation and operational excellence.

As a Client Tax Documentation Operations Analyst within the Client Tax Documentation Operations team, you will be responsible for the verification of reviewing and validating IRS Forms, Tax documents & IDs. You will certify accounts subject to Federal Income tax withholding and ensure that all customer requests are completed timely by adhering to procedures and guidelines.

Job responsibilities

  • Modify customer information based on daily maintenance requests (address, tax identification number) and Verify that corrections and modifications in data are fed to various systems
  • Assist with training documents and training staff on new and revised processes. Implement a control function platform, maintain procedure documents and help drive control-centric environment
  • Liaise with cross line of business partners to achieve business result driven improvements/ system enhancements with emphasis on strategic end state and controls
  • Build relationship and skills across lines of business, act as an escalation point for team and some cross department issues.
  • Manage the small staff, assessing each work allocation and areas of capacity to identify bottlenecks, process efficiencies and work towards process improvement activities.
  • Take responsibility for decision making about the handling of various types of scenarios critical for the business and for accuracy and timely completion of the Tax Certification process within the stipulated window.
  • Comply with set guidelines, procedures, rules and regulations; work as a team to achieve SLA's for the process and individual targets.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with overall experience of minimum 6 years or relevant experience of 2 or more years
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Strong knowledge of bank control policies and standards
  • People management skills with proven ability to develop, manage, coach and motivate the team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as collaborate, partner and work in a team environment
  • Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical, data management and problem solving skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Understanding of US Tax forms - W8 and W9, US and non-US Regulations (including Tax) preferred
  • Understanding of Investment Bank businesses preferred
