Job Description:

As a Senior Associate in Market Entry & Business Consulting at UJA, you will play a pivotal role in helping our foreign clients enter India and make informed strategic decisions. You will work closely with the consulting team, international desks and clients to provide expert guidance and solutions to clients seeking to expand their business presence.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the execution of consulting engagements, ensuring delivery of high-quality, insight-driven outputs aligned with client objectives.
• Develop comprehensive market entry and business expansion strategies through structured research, analysis, and strategic evaluation.
• Engage directly with clients to understand requirements, define scope, and communicate progress and findings effectively.
• Translate data-driven research into actionable business recommendations, supporting strategic decision-making.
• Conduct in-depth assessments covering market potential, competitive landscape, regulatory environment, and industry trends.
• Evaluate prospective partners, distributors, and investment opportunities through qualitative and quantitative business analysis.
• Perform financial feasibility assessments and prepare benchmarking studies to support client strategy formulation.
• Prepare and deliver professional client reports, presentations, and proposals that communicate insights with clarity and impact.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery of assignments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a consulting mindset.
• Excellent command of MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; ability to build high-impact presentations and data models.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and report writing.
• Exposure to Japanese and/or European business environments will be considered a strong advantage.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within given timelines.
• Professional demeanour with attention to detail and a focus on quality deliverables.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to a dynamic consulting environment

Requirements and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in business, economics, engineering or a related field;
• 3 to 4 years of experience in business consulting / advisory / market research or a similar role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in market research and data analysis tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• Prior experience working with Japanese clients or on Japan-related projects would be a plus
• Candidates having experience in Primary Research (questionnaire, cold calling etc.) will be preferred.
• Candidates having industry knowledge of Automotive, Machinery/Equipment, Chemicals etc. will be preferred.
