Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Salesforce Release Manager to oversee and coordinate the end-to-end release management process for our Salesforce platform.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless deployment of Salesforce applications, configurations, and updates across multiple environments, aligning with business objectives, compliance standards, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

Release Planning & Coordination :

- Develop and maintain comprehensive release schedules, aligning with business priorities and technical dependencies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, Solution Architect and Functional Analysts, to define release requirements and timelines.

- Coordinate release activities across various Salesforce environments (Development, UAT, Production, Hotfix, SIT), ensuring synchronization and minimal disruption.

Deployment Management :

- Oversee the deployment process, including metadata and data migrations, code deployments, and configuration changes.

- Utilize deployment tools such as Salesforce DX, Change Sets, VS Code and Gearset to facilitate smooth and efficient releases.

- Ensure thorough regression testing is conducted in sandbox environments before production deployments.

Change & Configuration Management :

- Implement and enforce change control processes to maintain the integrity and stability of the Salesforce environment.

- Manage version control in GitHub and configuration management practices, ensuring consistency across all environments.

- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment-related issues, collaborating with technical teams to implement corrective actions.

- Conduct post-release reviews to identify areas for improvement and prevent recurrence of issues.

Documentation :

- Maintain detailed release documentation, including deployment plans, release notes, and rollback procedures.

- Provide training and support to team members as needed.

- Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline release cycles.

- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning within the release management team.

Qualifications :

Required :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Salesforce Release Manager or in a similar role within a Salesforce environment.

- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce development, configuration, and deployment processes.

- Experience with Salesforce deployment tools (e.g., Salesforce DX, Change Sets, Gearset, Copado).

- Strong understanding of version control systems and branching strategies.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.

- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred :

- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder).

- Experience in managing releases in a multi-org Salesforce environment.
