Role Summary

The AVP – DevOps & Infrastructure Engineering will own the complete cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, security posture, and reliability engineering for the Cymmetri product stack—IntelliAuth, Conflux ITDR, Cognix, IGA, and the broader Kathreftis AI platform.

This role ensures enterprise-grade availability, performance, cost-efficiency, and automated deployments across dev, QA, UAT, staging, and production environments. The position is critical for building world-class infrastructure discipline, managing customer deployments, and ensuring predictable delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cloud & Infrastructure Ownership (AWS-first Environment)

• Design and manage AWS production environments for large enterprise customers (e.g., EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, KMS, WAF, ALB/NLB, CloudWatch).

• Manage EKS clusters, namespaces, scaling, resilience, and upgrade strategies.

• Responsible for VPC design, NACLs, firewalls, WAF configurations, VPC peering, and secure networking.

• Oversee Kubernetes ingress (NGINX), SSL/TLS cert lifecycle, and traffic routing.

1. DevOps Automation & Pipeline Governance

• Own CI/CD pipelines for Dev, QA, UAT, and Prod with complete end-to-end automation.

• Jenkins pipeline creation, versioned builds, artifact lifecycle, automated deployments, and rollback systems.

• Enforce deployment discipline across engineering—zero manual deployments.

• Integrate Snyk, SonarQube, Nexus, and security gates inside pipelines.

1. Platform Reliability & SRE Implementation

• Implement SLAs, SLOs, error budgets, and performance baselines for IntelliAuth, IGA, and Conflux.

• Build full observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch, Jaeger, EFK.

• Handle production incidents, outage analysis, and RCA with strict follow-up actions.

• Maintain uptime goals for all customer environments.

1. Security, Compliance & Audit Readiness

• Lead AWS IAM governance, secret management (AWS KMS, Vault), image scanning, OS hardening.

• Ensure readiness for stringent enterprise compliance (SOC2, ISO, customer audits).

• Manage audit log pipelines and help enforce logging maturity needed by Conflux ITDR.

1. Customer Deployment Management

• Oversee deployment architecture for customer on-prem and cloud installations.

• Support POC environments, DR setup, WAF configuration, VPN connectivity, and infra sizing.

• Act as escalation point for customer infra issues in partnership with Customer Success.

1. Disaster Recovery, Backups & Continuity

• Own DR readiness for all customer and internal environments.

• Manage multi-AZ failover strategies, backup routines, recovery testing, and DR drills.

1. Cost Optimization & Governance

• Track AWS billing across shared and customer clusters.

• Optimize compute, storage, network and avoid resource wastage.

• Build internal dashboards for monthly infra cost review.

1. Team & Process Leadership

• Manage DevOps, Infra, SRE, and platform engineers.

• Build strong engineering governance, daily rituals, and deployment rules.

• Train engineering team on DevOps excellence, pipeline usage, observability, alerts, and discipline.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EKS, EC2, VPC, WAF, RDS, KMS, S3).

• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, scaling, and microservices orchestration.

• CI/CD expertise using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Nexus, Sonar, Snyk.

• Strong understanding of NGINX, SSL certs, DNS, firewalls, VPN, routing.

• Infra as Code expertise: Terraform, Ansible.

• Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.

• Experience with monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, CloudWatch, ELK.

• Understanding security hardening and compliance frameworks.

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science / IT.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer (preferred).
