Job Title: Assistant Manager - Financial & Treasury Europe

Department : International Finance- Europe

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and consolidation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for 24 legal entities in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
  • Oversee end-to-end accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets management, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors to ensure timely completion of statutory and internal audits.
  • Ensure full compliance with all tax regulations and oversee timely preparation and submission of required filings.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and corporate governance standards across all finance and treasury activities.
  • Monitor daily cash positions, prepare cash flow forecasts, and manage working capital requirements.
  • Maintain strong banking relationships, negotiate credit facilities, and ensure compliance with loan covenants.
  • Maximize liquidity through effective cash pooling, investment of surplus funds, and efficient fund transfers.
  • Develop and implement FX risk mitigation strategies, including hedging where appropriate.
  • Oversee debt portfolio, including issuance, repayment schedules, and interest cost optimization.
  • Establish and maintain robust treasury policies, internal controls, and best practices to safeguard company funds.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Head Office and European entity for all financial, tax, and treasury matters.

Relevant Professional / Educational Background, Skills & Experience:

  • CA qualified with a strong academic profile
  • Minimum 4 years post qualification experience in a multinational manufacturing company (preferably pharmaceutical or FMCG industry)
  • Experience in managing team
  • Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong cultural awareness ensuring an ability to work with global colleagues
  • Capable of working on own initiative
  • Team player demonstrating maximum flexibility as required to complete key tasks
  • Strong administration, attention detail, technically advanced in IT and data management.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities and critical decision making within tight time constraints
  • Flexible and thrive in fast paced, changing environment.
