ey Responsibilities of Nursing Staff (B.Sc / GNM)

  • Patient Care: Provide bedside nursing care, monitor vitals, administer medications, assist with daily activities, and maintain patient comfort.
  • Clinical Support: Carry out doctors' orders, assist in procedures, manage IV lines, dressings, and pre-/post-operative care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, reports, and updates during shift handovers.
  • Infection Control: Follow strict hygiene practices, sterilization protocols, and biomedical waste management.
  • Medication Management: Prepare, administer, and document medications safely; monitor for reactions.
  • Emergency Response: Act promptly during medical emergencies and participate in emergency procedures.
  • Coordination: Work collaboratively with medical teams and communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Ward Management: Support admission/discharge processes, manage supplies, and ensure ward cleanliness.
  • Professional Conduct: Adhere to hospital policies, maintain discipline, punctuality, and ethical standards.
