We are looking for a *Backend Developer* with expertise in designing and building *scalable, high-performance systems* to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in *high-rate data ingestion, distributed systems, and backend service design, along with hands-on skills in **MongoDB TimeSeries databases, **Apache Kafka, and **Redis*.

You will work closely with our frontend engineers (React) and DevOps team to design and implement data pipelines, low-latency APIs, and efficient storage solutions for real-time IoT and analytical workloads.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement *scalable backend services* for real-time, high-throughput data ingestion.

  • Work with *MongoDB TimeSeries collections* to efficiently store and query large-scale time series data.

  • Build and optimize *event-driven pipelines* using *Apache Kafka* for streaming and ingestion.

  • Integrate and optimize *Redis caching and pub/sub* to improve performance and responsiveness.

  • Collaborate with frontend teams (React) to build and maintain RESTful/GraphQL APIs.

  • Lead discussions on *system design, architecture, and scalability* to support millions of events per second.

  • Optimize database queries, indexes, and sharding strategies for performance and cost efficiency.

  • Implement *monitoring, logging, and alerting* to ensure system reliability.

  • Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in *backend development* with *, Java, or Go*.

  • Strong knowledge of *MongoDB, especially **TimeSeries collections* and aggregation pipelines.

  • Hands-on experience with *Kafka* for high-throughput, event-driven systems.

  • Proficiency in *Redis* for caching and messaging purposes.

  • Deep understanding of *system design principles*, distributed architectures, and data partitioning.

  • Experience with *API design* (REST/GraphQL).

  • Familiarity with *React* and ability to collaborate effectively with frontend teams.

  • Knowledge of *containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)* is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with *IoT data ingestion pipelines*.

  • Exposure to *cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)*.

  • Familiarity with *event-sourcing architectures*.
