Senior Staff Software Development Engineer

Maxlinear is looking for passionate Senior Staff software engineer. This Position is for Network Processor Software Development. You will be working on development of cutting-edge packet processing technologies, and data path learning drivers to meet high performance requirements. We are looking for strong individuals who have passion to work on next generation networking products where performance and security are the key features.

• You will be required to dive deep into complex networking problems and finding the efficient solution
• Your designs need to meet the highest standards of secure design and coding, high performance and fast response times and innovative solutions to the most vexing problems

• Engineering degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science from a reputed college
• Excellent Programming skills in C/C++
• Excellent design skills and problem-solving approach
• Deep knowledge and understanding of Networking protocols like TCP/IP Protocol suite
• Deep knowledge of Linux network packet processing, netfilter framework, and packet flow
• Experience in Datapath offload driver development for network packet processing
• Excellence in embedded Linux software development and debugging in user and kernel space
• Deep knowledge and experience in debugging tools, system profiling and performance tuning
• Experience in analysis of kernel crash dump, memory corruption, rcu stalls, etc.
• 8-14 years' work experience in a related field
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of open-source community software like OpenWRT/PRPL/RDK-B 
• Exposure to networking protocols like ERPS, STP, L2CP, QoS etc.
• Exposure to various tunneling protocols like GRE, L2TP, IPSec, MAP-E/T etc
• Exposure to analysis of packet flow in a network processor SoC
