Role Overview

We are looking for an entry-level People Operations Specialist to support our growing HR community and internal team. This role focuses on smooth people processes, accurate HR data, and a positive experience for volunteers, partners, and team members across the employee/associate lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end onboarding and exit formalities for interns, volunteers, and project-based team members.
  • Maintain and update people data, records, and simple reports in HR trackers, sheets, and tools.
  • Coordinate with functional leads for role briefs, assignments, schedules, and onboarding sessions.
  • Assist in drafting and implementing basic people policies, SOPs, and communication templates.
  • Respond to people-related queries (email/WhatsApp/meetings) with accuracy and empathy.
  • Help plan and execute engagement initiatives, learning sessions, and HR community activities.
  • Support basic HR analytics and dashboards (attendance, participation, pipeline, engagement).

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in HR, People Operations, HR coordination, or similar admin/operations role.
  • Strong interest in HR, people experience, and community building.
  • Comfortable working fully remote with high ownership and reliability.
  • Good command of English (written and verbal); clear, professional communication style.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Excel, and basic HR/CRM tools.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with HR communities, NGOs, or professional associations.
  • Exposure to HR tech, talent acquisition, or HR analytics.
  • Comfort with LinkedIn, WhatsApp communities, and basic content coordination.
