Job Description:
The General Manager - Business Development (Client Liaisoning) will play a strategic role in managing client relationships and expanding the infrastructure business. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in business development, client engagement, and industry networking within the infrastructure sector, contributing to long-term growth and enhanced customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients in the infrastructure sector.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and address any issues or concerns.
- Develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to foster business growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the infrastructure industry.
- Conduct market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Lead business development strategies, proposals, and pitches for client acquisition and project expansion.
- Collaborate with the Central Monitoring team to track project progress, performance, and adherence to client specifications.
- Ensure alignment of project milestones and delivery timelines with client expectations.
- Regularly review and report on project updates and key metrics for senior management.
- Engage with government and regulatory bodies to stay updated on industry regulations and policies.
- Represent the company at industry forums, conferences, and meetings to establish and strengthen relationships with industry peers and regulatory authorities.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to drive client satisfaction and address any operational challenges.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Business Development team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Provide guidance on project negotiations, client interactions, and strategic planning to team members.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 20+ years in the infrastructure industry, with a focus on business development and client liaison.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Business, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of the infrastructure industry, including project lifecycle, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills; ability to build and sustain long-term partnerships.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage client-centric projects.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, with an analytical approach to identifying and leveraging growth opportunities.
