About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Bar Chef to join one of Mumbai's top bar teams. This role is perfect for someone who combines culinary skill with a passion for beverage innovation. You will oversee quality control for all bar preparations and develop unique garnishes, syrups, infusions, and elements that elevate our cocktail program.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement unique and innovative garnishes for the bar program
- Maintain high standards of quality control for all preps, syrups, purees, and edible components used by the bar team
- Collaborate closely with the Bar Manager and bartenders to enhance drink presentation and flavor
- Ensure consistency across all bar mise-en-place
- Manage prep schedules, stock rotation, freshness checks, and hygiene standards
- Maintain recipe documentation and costing
- Assist in menu development, seasonal changes, and R&D
- Uphold industry-leading cleanliness and food-safety practices
Requirements
- Experience as a Bartender or Commis/Demi Chef (CDP) with strong understanding of flavor, ingredients, and food techniques
- Creativity and passion for crafting standout visual and taste elements
- Knowledge of cocktail culture is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently during morning or night shifts
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
