Job Purpose: This role is responsible for ensuring high equipment availability and reliability through tracking and reducing failure rates, performing calibration and vibration analysis, and maintaining the Auto Coal Sampler Unit. This role requires effective inventory management, focusing on inventory of critical spare parts and reducing non-moving items, while also contributing to budget planning to optimize costs.

Responsibilities

Lead Coal Handling Plants Maintenance

Maintenance and Operational Excellence:

Track and reduce Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTR), and increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) to maintain high equipment availability.

Perform calibration and vibration analysis activities to ensure equipment reliability.

Perform the operation and maintenance of the Auto Coal Sampler Unit (ACSU) to guarantee accurate sampling.

Execute work order generation for painting, structural strengthening, and corrosion mitigation to maintain plant integrity.

Provide necessary details for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) risk analysis and job safety analysis (JSA) to proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards.

Inventory and Spare Parts Management:

Manage spare parts inventory, focusing on vital, essential, and desirable equipment to ensure operational readiness.

Reduce Non-Moving Inventory (NMI) to optimize stock levels.

Perform the maintenance of the stores inventory to support uninterrupted operations.

Budget Management:

Provide inputs for budgetary requirements to ensure cost-effective operations.

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on safety or operational efficiency.

Business Sustainability:

Implement and follow IMS, AWMS, DISHA, CHETNA, Six Sigma, ABEM and LAKSHYA guidelines within the department.

Ensure adherence to preventive maintenance (PM) compliances for all equipment to minimize downtime as well as P1 (breakdown) defect compliance and ensure timely rectification.

Manage departmental compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards to uphold corporate and regulatory requirements.

Digitization and Automation:

Execute comprehensive digitization strategies to optimize operational efficiency.

Implement automation solutions to support overall organizational goals/strategy.

Implement process and system improvements, adopting newer technologies and innovative ideas.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.

Work Experience (Range of years):

4+ years of experience in maintenance management within heavy industry, preferably in coal handling or power plants.

Preferred Industry:

Experience in the power generation, mining, or heavy industrial sector with a focus on coal handling systems.
