We are having an urgent opening for the position of Storage and Backup Administrator III for a reputed company at the Navi Mumbai (Juinagar) location.  

Job Summary 

We are seeking an experienced Storage Administrator III who's eager to use and grow his or her technological skills on a worldwide stage. In this role, the successful individual will protect our critical information, systems, and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in the development of an overall IT strategy. From early on, you'll help empower our breakthrough innovations, be given challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and take ownership and responsibility. Responsibilities:

  • Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of server, storage, and networking technologies
  • Participate in short- and long-term planning efforts with stakeholders and IT groups
  • Assist in establishing requirements, methods, and procedures for routine maintenance.
  • Ensure performance meets the present and future needs of the business. Forecast utilization patterns and identify modifications or upgrades
  • Perform Level 3 issue assessment and resolution on storage systems
  • Investigate alternative methods to expedite problem resolution
  • Recommend procedures and controls for problem resolution or create temporary solutions until permanent solutions can be implemented
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with 3rd Party vendors
  • Ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability
  • Proactively monitor storage service environments; Establish, and recommend system/service policies
  • Works independently; may require guidance in highly complex situations
  • Supports others to solve complex problems
  • Identifies innovative solutions through sophisticated analytical thinking
  • Interact well with all levels of management across multiple teams
  • Ensure procedures are followed and mechanisms are in place to ensure compliance to technical designs, and best practices and are well supported

Requirements:

  • Experience managing current backup technologies
  • Prior experience with Clumio, Veeam, and Rubrik a plus
  • Experience managing current storage technologies
  • Prior experience with NetApp and Pure
  • Experience implementing and managing object storage
  • Experience with PowerShell, PowerCLI, and VMware
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing environments
  • Strong organizational, time management and communication skills
  • Strong technical background and ability to work with engineers, developers, and other key stakeholders
  • Exposure to physical servers and/or virtualized environments such as VMware vSphere's vCenter Server Appliance, ESXi hosts, virtual machines, SAN datastores, host bus adapters fiber connectivity, and/or VM/Host distributed resource schedules groups/rules

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred
  • 6+ years of previous experience in similar role is preferred
  • Relevant industry certificates are preferred
