Job Description:
MIS Analyst Responsibilities

  1. Data Analysis and Reporting: Responsible for analyzing large datasets and generating reports to provide valuable insights to the management team. Use tools like Excel, SQL, Business Objects, QlikView, and Tableau to extract, manipulate, and visualize data.

  2. System Development and Management:  Take part in the design, development, and management of the organization's MIS infrastructure. Ensure that the systems are accurately collecting and storing data, and  make recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting processes.

  3. Identifying Opportunities and Risks:  Conduct comprehensive analyses of data to identify opportunities and risks for the organization. They apply their technical and business knowledge to understand trends and patterns and provide insights for decision-making.

  4. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with different teams and stakeholders within the organization. Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, provide technical support, and ensure that the MIS systems meet their needs. Also communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to the management team.

  5. Data Governance and Quality Assurance: Maintaining data integrity and privacy. Define data governance policies and procedures, establish consistent data definitions, and monitor overall data quality. Work with data owners and users to identify quality metrics and thresholds.

  6. Training and Support: Provide training and support to users of the MIS systems. Develop documentation and user guides, conduct training sessions, and assist users in understanding and utilizing the systems effectively.
