The Team

Deloitte's Technology & Transformation practice can help you uncover and unlock the value buried deep inside vast amounts of data. Our global network provides strategic guidance and implementation services to help companies manage data from disparate sources and convert it into accurate, actionable information that can support fact-driven decision-making and generate an insight-driven advantage. Our practice addresses the continuum of opportunities in business intelligence & visualization, data management, performance management and next-generation analytics and technologies, including big data, cloud, cognitive and machine learning.

Work you'll do

As a Senior Consultant in our Consulting team, you'll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. You'll:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize complex data pipelines using Spark and PySpark.
• Integrate and process real-time data streams using Kafka.
• Develop, test, and maintain SQL queries and procedures for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks.
• Work with SingleStore (MemSQL) to manage and optimize large-scale data storage solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of data pipelines.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms.

Required Skillsets:

• Extensive experience in building and optimizing data pipelines using Spark and PySpark.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation tasks.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka for real-time data processing.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, data analysis, and ETL processes.
• Experience in managing and optimizing data storage using SingleStore (MemSQL).

Good to Have:

• Experience with Airflow for orchestrating data workflows.
• Familiarity with Control-M for workload automation and job scheduling.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Proficiency in using GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Starburst for interactive querying of big data.
